El proyecto de Salini Impregilo y NRW en Perth (Australia) acaba de recibir el Premio del Instituto de Hormigón de Australia (WA) a la Excelencia en la Categoría de Tecnología e Innovación. Los jueces del premio dijeron que el equipo había ido "bien y más allá de lo que es la norma" en la producción de segmentos de túneles para Forrestfield-Airport Link. Más de 54,000 segmentos se produjeron en un almacén en Forrestfield, y las dos TBM ya han instalado más de 30,000 de los segmentos para formar los dos túneles del metro.

The Salini-Impregilo and NRW project in Perth has just received the Concrete Institute of Australia (WA) Award for Excellence in the Technology and Innovation Category. Award judges said the team had gone “well and truly above and beyond what is the norm” in the production of tunnel segments for the Forrestfield-Airport Link. More than 54,000 segments were produced at a custom warehouse in Forrestfield, and the two TBMs have already installed more than 30,000 of the segments to form the two tunnels.
